Goal 1: Keep learning! I want to read books, articles, blogs, etc. that will not only lead me to try new things, but will also show me how to bring back to life the "tried and true" ideas from the past.
Goal 2: ORGANIZE! I know it's important. I love organization sites and stores. I love helping other people organize. Now it's time to get serious about organizing myself (my files, my iPad, my "stuff") so I can be the most effective "me" possible!
Goal 3: Witness! God commands it, and I want to follow His lead. My classroom, even at a private Christian school, is prime ground for witnessing my faith. I want my students to leave my room not only more proficient in the content I have taught this year, but more importantly, knowing the love of God!

Goal Updates for the 2016-17 School Year!!
Goal 1: I spent some time this summer reading different articles and looking at new ideas. I should have saved them or remembered to write down the names and sites...
Goal 2: I spent a lot of time organizing at home which motivated me to organize more at school. I hate it when my classroom gets out of control!
Goal 3: This is ongoing as it should be.
I have another goal as well for this school year. It's not exactly a professional development goal, but it is giving me an opportunity to spend quality time with my peers from other divisions... I registered to run in a half marathon in December. I've never run this far before and am both terrified and excited! The training is hard, and I'm doing more fast walking than running, but I still have two months to be ready! My goal is to actually run (even if it's a slow run) the whole distance. I can't wait to put that 13.1 sticker on my car!
